About Me

I live in VA where skiing is not much to talk about.  I like skiing a lot though, and usually ski out west about every year or so.

My current list of ski areas visited (as far as I can remember):

nearby areas:

Wintergreen -Va (where I learned to ski, it's most convenient)
Massanutten -Va (awful)
Snowshoe -WV
Canaan- WV
Timberline- WV (best snow in area)
Liberty- Pa

and

West Coast,

Vail
Steamboat Springs
Heavenly
Park City
Alta
Snowbird
Whistler/Blackcomb  (amazing)

Whistler was my favorite.  The place is enormous.  It is beautiful, has all types of terrain, great on-mountain food, a fun village, lots of great places to stay, and tons of nightlife.  Largest Vertical Drop, Two HUGE mountains- can't ski it all in 2 weeks for sure.

So mostly I am an all terain/backcountry skier,  and I'm just getting into rails, jumps, tricks, freestyle.  Sounds like extra fun.

Words of Wisdom

Go skiing.

If you get the chance to sit next to Richard Branson on a Whistler ski lift, talk to him but don't act like you know who he is or make a big deal about it and don't kill him even though you have the chance.

Wear a helmet.

Just do it.  You know what I mean.  I won't tell.
