after browsing through the various posts and responses on the politiks forum, I have noticed an underlying current which seems to embrace,or maybe better yet, a subconscious fondness for the tenets of national socialism and/or communism. this is very surprising and at the same time very disturbing. i wonder how many of the members of this forum actually know the sordid history of socialism/communism(and dont try and say they are two different concepts) and how it has thwarted and almost halted mankinds progression as it relates to twentieth century history. sure on the surface soc/com seems to be innocuous enough claiming all it trully wants is equality for all, but this is just a clever rouse; soc/com is nothing more than a glorified oligarchy which seeks to undermine the individuals autonomy at the benefit of the select few in power. proletariat my ass! food and shelter for all, bullshit. next time one feels compelled to bag on the US and its supposed capitalist and imperialist goals; stop and trully think about one thing, and ask yourself this question. what would the world be like today, feb 5 06 if the US didnt exist? i cant wait to see the responses.

I don't see the world as being in that good of a condition anyways. It may be great for you and me in our first world digitally connected homes, but an awful lot of the world is in pretty terrible shape. Maybe it would be better off if the US didn't exist, maybe worse off, but we dont know, so dont go implying that the USA is the keeper and creator of all that is good in the world.

I did and I will continue to do so, I will do this for many reasons; but mostly b/c I am right. but of course instead of engaging in debate you choose to ignore the query and hurl ad-hominem attacks and sidestep the issue, so predictable. but i will enlighten you with one way YOUR SPECIFIC LIFE would differ; you wouldnt be speaking english, you would either be speaking german or russian. have some more koolaid and enjoy your socialist utopia.

The USA is not solely responsible for winning wars like WWII. Many countries are owed credit, including "cowardly" Canada, who was involved in WWII years before the USA chipped in. I think it would be fair to say that if it weren't for many of the specific countries involved in the war we would "be speaking german or russian", so no need to make it sound like it was all the USA. And by the way, Canada is a capitalist country, not a "socialist utopia", you jerk. If you want to get specific, Canada is a 'welfare liberalist' nation, while the USA is a 'neo-liberalist' nation. Not that big of a difference, when compared to soc/com.
