She's excited so I got her a pair of Roxy Sweethearts 90cm + Roxy Sweetheart bindings. They're not mounted yet; my question is, right now she wears a size 18.0 boots and may size up to 18.5 next season. Will I have to have the bindings re-mounted again when she switches to a slightly bigger boot? If not, at what point will I have to have them re-mounted?

Thanks!

I can't stand this icy shi*t...

It will probably be about a 50-50 chance that they will fit if you go only a half size up but idk why youd only go a half size up becuase the only thing that changes from an 18.0 to an 18.5 is the outside of the boot. The inside length is the exact same as an 18.0

Normally the back binding will adjust to various sizes (about 5?) so you may want to keep the toe piece mounted a little foward from the centering marks, I'd say 1/2to3/4" (usually you line up the ski and boot centering marks) as most kids don't use a foward stance as they should it shouldn't be a problem, also mount the back binding with it adjusted pretty well foward so you can adjust it back as she grows into larger boots, as she should be able to use these skis for 2 or 3 yrs.But you should really have them mounted by a cert. tech.

You could also look at installing a device that keep front tips together - helps on the snowplow and prevents them from crossing the tips a lot when they are learning. Can't remember the name off-hand, buts its like a set of wire clips. You can like get it at the pro shop at your local canadian ski resort.
