Hi, I'm planning to buy my first set of skis and I saw these 188cm Elan X-Carve SR Carving All Mountain skis for cheap.  Will like to know if they will work for me.  I am 5 10" and 180lbs and haven't ski for 8 years now since I took up snowboarding and will like to go back skiing once a while.   I can also do blue runs.  Will these skis be good enough?

Thanks!

Around 178cm actually. I saw this website http://www.evogear.com/info/helpcenter/196.aspx and it says it's too long for me.  is that true?

thanks

psh thats a perfect size for u, u could even go longer. They should be good skis for u, since ur not gunna be skiing that often.
Wome, can't live without them, and they can't pee standing up.

what i forgot to say...then shorter a ski is then easier is it to turn and ride it fakie....when you jst want to ride groomed runs you should take a ski which is your size or about 10-20 cm smaller then you...going out-of-bounds you should take a ski which is as long as you or longer....
