That'd be me. I'm an 17 year old chick, boarder for about 5 years, and I just bought my first pair of skiis today.
After talking to the ski tech at my store and going "why not?" to the price (as I get a big discount, and they'll last me ages) I went with the Rossi Scratch FS. Though, I have to wait until next paycheque for bindings and boots.
Anyway, I've skiied a handful of times. It's something that, I admit, comes pretty naturally (more so than boarding anyway...maybe it's because I cross country skiied as a kid). I'm REALLY wanting to get more into the freestyle side of things, though I'll also be skiing backcountry a bit, as well as a bit of everything haha.
Basically, I'm just looking for some tips. ANYTHING you may think of, even if it's just "don't cross your skiis!". About skiis themselves, boots, bindings, spins, tricks of any sort, all-mountain tips, and how to avoid looking like a complete nerd as some skiiers seem to do so naturally. Seriously, I like to ski, I like to go fast (zoom zoom) and hit kickers and huck little 180's haha...but basically that's all I know at this point in time.
TEACH ME, OH GODS OF SKI!.
