I made the move from strictly carving skis (Elans, mostly) to powder skis a few seasons ago and now I want to get into more of a freeride/style ski.  At the same time I'd like to maintain the capacity to perform at a decent technical level (I'll be doing the second half of my CSIA 2 this season.)  I'm a big guy (6'2", 190 lbs) so anything that's too soft I'll just end up riding into the ground.  The only skis that I've been seriously considering so far are the scratch BCs, but I'm open to suggestions.

Cheers.

can you buy movement-skis where you live? really good swiss skis. they have quite a large number of models including all kind of freeride, tour and some freestyle skis. they're quite hard in the flex, so they should fit you. I tried them last spring, and I found it to be good material.

The movement skis look pretty interesting, the moment brand looks a little more park-exclusive than I want to go.  Unfortunately I can't find any of either brand in my area.  Thanks for the responses, but I'll probably end up with the Scratch BCs unless I have issues with the sidecut.

the scratch bc is in the tail very soft. if you like to ride long skis, i think fischer watea would be good for you but its not good for park or slopestyle only freeriding
