ATHLETES HAVE UNTIL MARCH 8 TO THROW THEIR NAME IN THE RUNNING FOR A SPOT IN THE WHISTLER COMPETITIONS

TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival’s Canadian MVP will win inaugural Pontiac Peak Performer Award and a hot new ride

WHISTLER, BC, February 23 2007 –

For 10 days in April, skiers & snowboarders will gather for five competitions and the classic end to an incredible season in Whistler.

Snowboarders and skiers will again join forces for the 2007 TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival, with the Old Spice World Snowboarding Classic and the World Skiing Invitational taking place simultaneously April 12 - 21.

Over 150 riders and skiers will take on the Stompede, Rail Session, Superpipe and TWO Big Air competitions throughout the festival week. In addition to $100,000 in cash & prizes on the line, athletes will be motivated to go big by the opportunity to win the inaugural Pontiac Peak Perfomer Award and the keys to a brand new Pontiac G5 GT.

The Canadian skier or rider who out-spins, out-jumps and out-grinds their competitors across four events and receives the most votes at the on-site Pontiac display will receive the Peak Performer award and will squeal out of town in a slick, black Pontiac G5 GT after the April 21 Big Air.

A newly introduced lottery format will give the opportunity for emerging athletes to secure a spot in the World Skiing Invitational and Old Spice World Snowboarding Classic competitions, so fresh contenders can mix it up with established pros and previous champions.

Athlete Manager Lindsay O’Brien said, “Uniting pros and amateurs through a mixture of invitational and open fields makes the festival an event for all levels of riders.  It provides an exciting opportunity for up & comers to size up their skills against the pros and help to launch their competitive careers and have a ton of fun in the process.”

Between now and March 8, athletes can go to www.whistler2007.com to request an invitation or enter the lottery.  Confirmed competitor lists will be announced on March 12.

Coors Light Triple Challenge Ski & Snowboard Festival

Collingwood, March 2006 – Blue Mountain Resort is beginning to change shape as the Coors Light Triple Challenge Ski and Snowboard Festival draws near.  Sunday, March 4th, the event site at the base of Smart Alec will come to life as the build of two 80 foot rails gets underway.  Massive preparation for the big air to rail component of the Coors Light Triple Challenge is scheduled to take the good part of a week, as Blue Mountain Resort’s operations team binds forces to create one of Canada’s largest ski and snowboard festivals.

The Coors Light Triple Challenge, March 9th through 11th is BlueMountain’s final event of the season, featuring a collection of events including half-pipe, slope style, rail jam and big air to rail competitions.  In celebration of an incredible season, the festival will also host one of the biggest free outdoor concerts of the year.

Top pro skiers and snowboarders from around the world are ready to contend in a series of events starting with the Friday night Oxy Rail Jam.  Mars Big Air to Rail participants will start off with an invitational day time qualifier on Saturday with the highest scoring competitors advancing to a night time final. On Saturday night competitors and spectators will also catch an open air concert at the base of Smart Alec on the Telus Concert Stage.  Heading up this year’s show is the punk inspired quartet, The Stills.  This Montreal based group will bring a splurge of live 80’s style rock to the scene.

Athletes may register Thursday, March 9th from 7:30 to 9:30 AM in Cascade 2 at the Grand Central Lodge.  The entry fee is $35.00 per contest with registration times running at the same time and location, Friday and Saturday.  Discounted lift tickets will be available to competitors following registration.  Please note: Competitors under 18 years of age will need a guardian to sign their waiver.  A practice session will run on site from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.  The competition kicks off Thursday morning at 10:00 AM.  Helmets are mandatory.

The Coors Light Triple Challenge: 10 mountain events, 30,000 lbs of rail, 13 million gallons of man made snow, 500+ athletes, 40 judges and 20,000 spectators you won’t want to miss!

ARE U THIS GUY????

Im the guy who will text you every single morning and tell you good morning and every single night to tell you sweet dreams.

I'm the guy who will text you and tell you "i love you and you make me smile" just because.

I'm the guy who will blindfold you, take you to the beach and let you run your toes through the sand then make you guess where we are.

I'm the guy who will show up at your games (or competitions or meets) without you knowing just to surprise you.

I'm the guy who will hold you when you're crying and wipe away your tears.

I'm the guy who still thinks you're beautiful with no makeup on wearing sweats and a big t-shirt.

I'm the guy who won't pressure you to do things you dont want to.

I'm the guy who will show up at your house with soup and a movie when you aren't feeling well.

I'm the guy who kisses you on the forehead.

I'm the guy who doesnt kiss and tell.

I'm the guy who actually listens to you when you talk.

I'm the guy who's excited all day because im looking foweward to our date that night.

I'm the guy who is content to just be able to hold you and wants nothing more.

I'm the guy who can't help but smile when you walk into the room.

I'm the guy who's perfectly content with staying in and watching movies and cuddling.

I'm the guy who won't lie to you about where he's going or where he's been or who he's been with.

I'm the guy who gets butterflies when he hears your name.

I'm the guy who's not afraid to tell his friends he loves you.

I'm the guy who isn't always trying to act like a hard ass around you.

I'm the guy who doesn't care about your imperfections and loves you more for them.

I'm the guy who will hold you while we watch the sunset.

I'M THE GUY WHO REALLY WANTS TO MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD.
